Awesome, thank you. That would make it my oldest and most actually vintage hat.
Thanks. It does feel special. Previously when I tried it on before purchasing there was a small gap in the front of the hat that they shaped out after purchasing. My head is more round oval than oval I was told. It fit before but now it just fits great.Love it
It does look to be the same one. Mine is a 58 (7 1/4)
Oh wow you got it from Optimo? Nice. I got mine second hand but I’m hoping to head to Chicago later this year and get fitted and see what they can talk me into lol.Thanks. It does feel special. There will be something you could be talked into for sure. They had a lot of Panama hats as well as felt offerings.Oh wow you got it from Optimo? Nice. I got mine second hand but I’m hoping to head to Chicago later this year and get fitted and see what they can talk me into lol.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I'm glad that it's not just American buyers that Europeans send hats to on such a fashion.Last one for now.
Hall&Co homburg for Sools in black. Soze 60 with the brim at a generous 6,5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. No label underneath the sweatband, so hard to say who the real maker was. The size label makes me think Fléchet.

Nah, it isn't personal, Jeff. They either don't know or don't care. Probably both.I'm glad that it's not just American buyers that Europeans send hats to on such a fashion.
Of course a bit of sarcasm in my response was intended. I do get many hats like this in the US from American sellers as well. I expect your experience is similar.Nah, it isn't personal, Jeff. They either don't know or don't care. Probably both.
It does happen. If they're soft felt hats it doesn't bother me all that much, because with some steaming they'll bounce right back. Straws or bowlers are another matter.Of course a bit of sarcasm in my response was intended. I do get many hats like this in the US from American sellers as well. I expect your experience is similar.
