In previous posts I forgot to mention the great Bow design and execution!

Brüder Dobesch, Hutfabrik Jospedo, Wien, 1938 envelope that I found back in 2012. I have never been able to find an old Brüder Dobesch Soft or Stiff Felt in my size or larger.

Great find and an equally great hat, Steve. Love the generous proportions.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "Plume" possibly mid to late 1930s. This Soft Felt weighs only 58 grams ~ 2.0 Ounces and it's a recent find.

J. Hückel´s Söhne Promotional Pocket Mirror, Otto Abendthum, Zella - Mehlis (Thuringia, Germany). I found this Pocket Mirror back in 2017 and I had been looking for one with this graphic design for a long time and I haven't seen one since. This is also my favorite graphic design.

Sporting a really soft Worth-Walden this morning. My favorite Ft Worth hat ( It belonged to the President of the Swift Meat Packing plant in the Stockyards. That place sure has changed since I retired and left Ft Worth.... I read yesterday that Ft Worth is now officially the 10th largest city in the US

Very cool. How do you learn the history on these hats?

Easiest way is to buy direct from the family. Preset yourself as genuinely interested in the history and not just a hat flipper. The guys daughter sent me a picture of him in this hat on a fishing trip in Cabo that was dated 1962. As with most old things, the history is half the deal
I would love to know the history on some of these hats. I’ve been keeping an eye out for estate sales and stuff like that, but I have yet to find any with hats that I want. I suppose it’s one of those treasure hunt type things where you hit a lucky strike every now and again. You should post the picture from 1962 of the family wouldn’t mind - I’d love to see it.
