I’m highly considering ordering the Western Cowboy direct from DH as I really want a Type 1 and prefer the Lee style that this has, plus some nice teacore black for my new boots. What’s the story on import duties for anyone who has received a jacket direct in the USA in the last few months?

I received one from DH about 6 weeks ago and was charged around 65$ also by DHL

Update. My jacket is expected to be delivered. I spoke to someone at DHL and he told me that the US Supreme Court ruling went into effect last week so I won’t have a tariff on mine. If you were charged a tariff, there’s a chance you might be able to get a refund. Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone.
I recently tried on the Hugging the Curve jacket in black, and I have to say I was quite disappointed with the leather and the cut.

I found it bland compared to other jackets I've owned.

Was it new? Leather, especially horse, takes a while to develop.
Was that the only model you tried?

Well, I stand corrected. I received an email a few hours ago stating that there is $69 due upon delivery. The person I spoke to this morning gave me incorrect information I guess.

I'm looking at getting the Rider Tres in olive or the Unus, I'm just hesitant about the Unus in how it flares at the hem

Any opinion on the models and the olive leather? Thanks!

There are several pics of the unus in the thread to give you an idea of real world fit

What brands are you using as a point of comparison For the leather?

Just unboxed this seal brown Hugging the Curve. First impressions… It’s even better than I had hoped. The leather is so beautiful. The full aniline leather is softer than the black semi aniline used on my Innovator. I’m glad I opted for the copper stitching. This jacket ticks all the boxes for me.
