Wow, that is a rare beast indeed, Steve. Beautiful.F. Witzleben Leipzig, possibly 1920s. There is no company mark on the paper label but probably sourced. The Felt color is fantastic and the contrasting Band and Brim Binding work superbly with the Felt color. Also the F. Witzleben Leipzig company Crest is impressive on the Liner and Sweatband. I found this Stiff Felt back in 2013.

Jimmy, I'm NOT really an authority on this, and if I'm wrong, hopefully others will chime in and correct me. However.....my research leads me to believe that although Beaver Brand advertised themselves as being the last incarnation of Langenberg Hats, this was a rather disingenuous bit of marketing obfuscation. Langenberg ceased making hats in the very late 1990’s and was dissolved as a company in 2000. Its stock of supplies and equipment were purchased by a completely different entity, which began making hats under the Beaver Brand name and label, lasting until 2012. Again, this is not writ in stone, but is my current understanding of the real circumstances of Langenberg-to-Beaver.
Thank you, i'll tell you what, I know it says rabbit fur inside but it sure does feel alot similar to some my higher end beaver stetsons that I own. It certainly very well made and for the price I purchased it for, I'm super happy!
