Another fine Portis. Great looking hat, Mark!
Maybe even better than the Portis. Very cool brim finish on that one, Mark.
Wow!!! That is possibly the most unique brim curl I have ever seen, Steve! And that liner is to die for!!! Awesome!!J. Hückel'a Synove Vídeň (J. Hückel´s Söhne Wien), made for the Czech market and from the early 1900s under Austria Hungary. I really like the lower profile and striking Liner and unique textured Sweatband. Also it has a very tight Brim Curl. I found this Stiff Felt back in 2013

This a photo of the Paper Label that I took back in 2013. What is interesting is the French Point Size is in Quarters "Weite / Size 5 3/4" and not Halves. J. Hückel´s Söhne used French Point Quarters Sizing in this time period.

J. Hückel´s Söhne "110 Year Anniversary" (1909) booklet so in the same time period as the above Stiff Felt. I found the booklet back in 2012.

Oh, my, yes. Fabulous hat (and overall look), Mike.1930''s Stetson Number 1 that I just had cleaned and reshaped. Along with RRL jacket, shirt, jeans and boots. A Ralph Lauren day.

That’s one hell of a brim. Love the colour too.
John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.

Thank you. It’s a fairly bold look. That’s one hell of a brim. Love the colour too.

Mark, Thanks! Your 1943 Stetson "Slant" is real beauty! The Felt color and finish are fantastic! The Band / Bow colors are special! Also great Form!Wow!!! That is possibly the most unique brim curl I have ever seen, Steve! And that liner is to die for!!! Awesome!!
What era is this one? I like the colour tones on itStetson OR 3X. Not sure what Stetson called the color. It kind of goes between dun & buckskin depending on the lighting.

I’m sorry for your loss. It looks great on you and I’m sure it looked fantastic on your father as wellStetson Premier Strat I purchased for my father several years ago. He passed away right before Thanksgiving. I wear it now in his memory.

Thank you. My father always wore an Irish tweed cap. He always wanted a fedora, but would never buy one for himself.I’m sorry for your loss. It looks great on you and I’m sure it looked fantastic on your father as well
The Strat was a good call. A really nice gift for certainThank you. My father always wore an Irish tweed cap. He always wanted a fedora, but would never buy one for himself.
That is a thing if beauty!Dog-walk this morning took place under my 1943 Stetson Slant.
This might seem heretical to some, but I have decided that, honoring the past not withstanding, I will no longer be wearing this in its original "slant" styling. To me, the whole explanation/sales hype for the design was just
really bad marketing buffoonery. I see it as the fedora equivalent of pre-torn jeans, another styling gimmick I've been wincing at for 50+ years.
But the color is magnificent, and the hat itself is quite a beauty, worn "properly."
