Just sharing a few photos of my Aero Indian Ranger in black Vicenza that I got last month while visiting Aeros workshop.

Wow, amazing jacket and looks great in you. Thanks for sharing the pictures. There's a stock Indian Ranger on Aeros site that I've had my eye on for awhile, but I've held off and will aim for a custom one.

Congratulations on a great jacket.

Thank you! I almost bought that one but after looking at the measurements it was just too small for me to be an everyday jacket that I can layer under if needed. Want to share what kind of custom build you have in mind?

The main thing for me is I would change the hide to black badlassai. I want my black to look alive and three dimensional, glossy. Gone back and forth in my mind over the lining, but I think I've settled on the black quilted option.

The main one thing I want in all my black jackets is that they stay black as they age, not fade to brown. I already have a Schott 618 and have owned others in this style, but the Indian Ranger is such a special, specific look that I may well spring for one eventually.

Totally with you there. That's the other criteria I forgot to mention, the black has to stay black. The tea core look isn't for me.

In terms of 'colour seasons' (not everyone's thing, I know) I'm a "deep winter'. If the black faded out, it would wash me out with it.

Oh boy, what happened?

Aero didn't mess anything up, but the dealer I went through assumed no one would actually want the vintage cut of the Indian Ranger, so instead they ordered Aero's slim-straight motorcycle jacket, with Indian Ranger pockets, for me.

They assumed you didn't want the very thing you ordered, and decided to give you something else instead!? That's terrible, to put it mildly. What happened in the end? Did you get your money back?

No, when I realized what was happening, they said I’d need to do their “fit jacket” process all over again and the $70 in postage and weeks of additional wait seemed too much to me at the time.

Funnily enough people talk about these dealers as a way to get the jacket faster but the longest wait I had was the one through a dealer. Aeros direct have come fast.

Yeah adding on extra weeks of wait time is just salt in the wound by that point. I had a great experience dealing with Aero directly, think I'll keep it that way after hearing all this.
