I was excited to break out this Trimble overwelt today, but it’s too grey outside for a grey hat, and the wind is picking up considerably— a bit stressful for this very lightweight lid. In some light the felt and ribbon have slight purple or lavender undertones.

Looks like weve got a few days of decent rain here in East texas. Time to go back under one of the Akubras. Today its a Cedar Brown Campdraft Deluxe

Well I managed to thoroughly soak the Campdraft and a levis jacket leaving the coffee shop. Swapped out for an old Resistol for another run out and it got a bit of a rinse too.. Oh well... they needed cleaning and my head stayed dry.... Think Im going to plant myself inside on the recliner and do some reading today

Stetson *** Club overwelt pork pie. Recently acquired this one. Seems like pork pies are surprisingly few and far between anymore, so it was nice to pick this up from a local estate sale. I like the brown heather felt and patterned wide ribbon.

Thank you, sir! The 7X is pretty sweet, but I've been wearing the Fort Worth a lot. The brim was reshaped a bit, but I couldn't bring myself to mess with that crown. I really like the 3.5" brim size.

I've been wearing the Fort Worth a lot. The brim was reshaped a bit, but I couldn't bring myself to mess with that crown. I really like the 3.5" brim size.

Ive been seriously considering redoing the ribbon with a slightly thinner ribbon, and of course with a campaign bow. Its currently got a 1" ribbon... Ill go ahead and make up a 5/8" and 3/4" set to see which looks best
