Under $500, best jacket alternative to Aero Majestic or Schott Duke (suede/roughout, trucker/western)

Hey guys -- looking for a trucker/western style jacket similar to an Aero Majestic or Schott Duke, but for $500 or under. So far I have found these 5 -- does anyone have feedback on these, or suggestions for others that fit the bill?

I could especially use feedback on 7 Diamonds -- Nordstrom carries the brand, so I assume they aren't total trash -- but I've had trouble finding much feedback on them.

Of those you've mentioned, I'd go with the Rugged West. Leilah runs a solid operation and I've been very happy with my 3 jackets from her.

My finding with trucker jackets is that the fit is probably more important than the materials. If you can order any of these and easily return them if they don't fit great then thats what I would probably do.

Looks very nice! But if google's conversion is accurate, looks like this costs the equivalent of $850+, which puts it outside of my budget

If the Rugged West is your size, I'd definitely recommend it. it'll have a nicer construction than the other options

Thanks. I ordered the RW jacket the other day -- I just hope it actually shows up. I haven't received any info from RW other than the initial order confirmation. My concern stems from the fact that the item doesn't actually show up on the website's main navigation options -- I stumbled on it through googling. And I saw Leilah interacting with a frustrated customer on Reddit who was allowed to pay for an item even though it was not in stock -- she says sometimes Shopify is finnicky and sometimes things being shown in stock when they're not actually, especially one-off samples (like this one). I e-mailed her a couple days ago and haven't heard back. Hopefully I hear back from her soon...would like to know if I should move on to a different option.

If you are going to spend $500 on one of those, why not stretch to $825 and get a Schott 375BP (from Bespoke Post) that is far nicer IMO?

I got one last week and it is a combination of the Duke/375 Schott rough-outs. For what comes to $6 more per week for a year, you can get a jacket that will be with you for decades.

I would guess around $500. If I go this year I can let you know anything I spot in your size (which is also mine, so easy to check!). I mention that because sometimes they have overstock from Schott Japan, where the size numbers are meaningless lol.

From a business standpoint it is odd that Schott lets them sell what I feel to be an improved version of their 375 for about $150 less than the stock 375. But this is an opportunity for those who jump on it to save some coin to put towards our next jacket.

It's simpler than that, I imagine. Most likely this store did the collab and bought the jackets before the most recent jump in leather prices. They just haven't sold out yet.

There was a store in Chicago that still had 118s at $600 that had been sitting around there for years.

I saw this happen with Alcala's Western Wear. They had some old 689Hs for roughly $725 or so, and then when they restocked, the price jumped to $970. Very glad I jumped on the $725 price.
