What a selection Stefan, I am quite struck by the unusual shade of grey that is the Portis, there again The Mallory is so distinguished. My choice though, is neither of those:

The Mossant is for me, (I rather like the overcoat too.)

A grey hat for a grey day is today's hat, it's one that Susquehana made for me.

Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells

(Minor note: Church bells aren't made of iron. They would crack, and make a most unmelodious "clank". But we'll give David Gilmour a little artistic license.

Hat: Hornskov Narrator in natural pure beaver. Steel hat band. Coat: Vintage Evan Picone. Umbrella: Blunt Classic, in Black., Scarf: Soho Scarves, in maroon paisley.

A rainy, cold Sunday morning in SW England just begs, begs for proper clothing. Especially if you are going to Church. And somehow a good hat just ties the whole thing together.

Fantastic news, Nathan. Good to hear you're getting back.

Congrats, Nathan! Good things ahead, my friend! Beautiful Knox to celebrate a life victory!

Congratulations Nathan!!! I know what a journey it has been for you… literally across continents! Fingers crossed on the job hunt! Beautiful Knox Twenty. Can not go wrong there!

Most excellent news! Hoping to hear updates from the road before long

The Knox is truly excellent, but the NEWS surpasses anything anyone can show us today! That is FANTASTIC, my friend! Positive thoughts headed your way on the job search, Nathan!

Fantastic news on the health and job front! Great hat!

Thank you, gentlemen!

Fabulous hat, Nathan. And some great news to start the year with.

That’s great news Nathan! I hope your health continues to improve and that you land the right job soon. Super nice Knox too!

That's one great Knox with a wonderful wide ribbon and bow treatment, Nathan.

What's even greater, you'll soon be on the road again. Congrats!!

Thrilled for you, Nathan. Congratulations!
Looking forward to your increased activity on the Fedoras Afield thread!

Great hat!

Pales in comparison with your work status -- FANTASTIC NEWS!!!

Good luck finding a truck to drive

That's a hat that is ALWAYS a pleasure to see! Glad to hear of potential good news, job-wise!

Thank you for all of the encouraging remarks, gentlemen. They are heartwarming and spirit-boosting.

I anticipate soon being in just one or two hats most of the time, but maybe the photos of them will be in some dynamite locations!

Burr! it was 21 degrees on he patio when I got up this morning. Firepit is going, coffee in the cup and Mr Bear is in process of moving all his toys to the yard for the day. This morning I threw on my "Deadwood" Beaver Brand hat. The claim by the seller is that it was worn by one of the extras for filming the Deadwood series.... I cant really prove it, and havent found it after watching the series three whole times trying to catch a glimpse, but its a good story and Im sticking to it! The color has always made my heart smile on this one ( and best of all its a dense, warm hat)

Combed out the puppy last night and I just noticed Ive got bits of white fur everywhere ... I guess now I get o brush some hats today too

Thank you, gentlemen. Grey, in all its shades and nuances is the colour I have by far the most of in the collection. You can never go wrong in a good grey.

Really tough choosing the leaders this week. That Mallory is definitely a head turner! But each one holding its own
