My final contribution to StingyMas (it’s already Christmas Eve over here. Have I gone into extra time?). This is the first fur felt hat I bought. A Christys’ Exclusive Kent Fur Felt Trilby.

On the Eleventh Day of StingyMas…

For this final day of StingyMas something a bit different. This rather old Borsalino with its wry large rolled welt edge come in at just 1 and 3/4 inches and in a fitting end to my StingyMas celebration. Thank you to all who joined in enjoyed… (or tolerate) the festivities. I bid you all a Merry and Happy Stingymas.

And the same to you and yours, Joe. And what a way to end stingymas! That glorious Borsalino gets my heart racing a bit every time I see it.

Christmas Eve with clouds and a few rare glimpses of clear skies.
The wind is now bringing rain, and it's snowing on the high hills.

For this almost festive day, I chose an Antica Casa - Borsalino - Alessandria "Marca Colombo."
Bismuto BOR 2.jpg
Size 6 1/2, or 60 centimeters in the EU and 7 1/2 in the US.

The felt color is "Bismuto" and the hatband is "Asfalto."
The felt finish is, as is often the case with "Marca Colombo" Borsalinos, very short-haired, very soft and thick.

It's very easy to shape, and the brims are finished with triple zigzag stitching.
Every time I see gray Borsalinos, I wonder why there are so many variations on one color.
It's certainly a very popular shade for hat felt, but Borsalino has brought it to an infinite variety.

Merry Christmas to all of you and your families, both immediate and extended.

Thanks Stefan. That it does to me as well even with it sitting right on my nightstand. It is a hat that generally gets compliments from passersby whenever I wear it. Thanks again for pointing it out to me.

Merry Christmas Gary. I have to consult the almanacs (search the lounge for my old posts)every year to confirm myself… before I remember I set it in my calendar. LOL. December 13 to 23rd with the final day coinciding with Festivus! Eleven Stingy Days… one stingier than a dozen :D Thanks for joining in the fun.

Yesterday’s StingyMas hat. Following Joe’s lead again with a Stefan Tirard.
I only took one super quick selfie. ****** awful photo, so I threw a sepia filter, some grain, and a vignette on it…the result? Still an awful photo. Never mind, here it is.

You're WAY too hard on yourself. I think that's an EXCELLENT selfie, with nice composition, great enhancing effects, and soul/charisma. And a kewl hat, too!
