On the Sixth Day of StingyMas. Back to Stefan’s magical mystery box and out comes this black long haired beauty! Produced by Failsworth of Manchester, England who once held the UK license for Stetson manufacturing.

Joining you today with a Stefan stingy of my own. This one, a Barbisio, sub-branded Cellini.

I removed the grotty liner and washed it, but haven’t yet bothered to put it back.

The Fléchet X Velour rather appeals. How did you get the accute accent over the letter 'e?' However, the Borsalino Vaiato does it this week, what a fabulous brim!

My bespoke Gamble & G*nn (it rhymes with Nun but the censor blanks it out,) was the choice for church this morning, I took a chance on the weather, the cost of this hat made me think about keeping it dry.
Thank you, Robert. If you use the apostrophe before typing the 'e' it will do that automatically. I wear the Borsalino usually brim up, because the flange is very pronounced when wearing it brim down. I know the problem of precious (use Gollum voice if you want) hats all too well. They sit in their box and wait for their chance to shine when the circumstances are just right. What can you do? You're looking splendid there again. Really like that tie.

Beautiful lid, Rick; a crown for a king!!

Not pure beaver, but as far as I know this Stetson has yet to be bashed. There is some wavering where the plastic dust cover squeezes the crown, though. Those plastic covers are not intended for this size crown.

Gorgeous, Charlie. Wonder why we don't leave the crowns in peace more often.

Another wonderful week of hats yet again, Stefan.

I don't usually pick a favourite as they're always all praise worthy. This time, however, my envy was drawn to the Tirard. What a delicious chocolate brown. It certainly lives up to its name.

The Fléchet velour is a great find. The look of the softness of the felt, the liner colours, and the art deco designs on the sweatband all make it a very desirable hat. Congrats!
Thank you, Steve. I'm a bit of a fan of those Tirard hats. Usually very hight quality. Fléchet is more varied, but they do have gems like this one.

Day two of StingyMas has me digging into Stefan’s @steur Magical Mystery care package from earlier this year. And this beautiful Rembrandt Staalmeester gets the call. I actually like how he had it with the tight brim curl on the sides. It’s a lovely medium to light grey with just a shade darker ribbon.

Oh, my! Another stunning Stefan Sunday Special Showing! As always, a glorious assortment of exquisite headwear. I'm going with that glorious Wehrmeier as #1, the stunning Tirard as #2, and that marvelously rain-dappled Hückel as #3. Thank you, as always, for livening up our Sunday, Stefan!
Thanks, Mark. As allways, much appreciated.

Another fur hat, and like the previous French one, it's a "Misto" (mixed).

Borsalino size 6, or 7 3/8 in the US. No quality markings. Rare to see, probably made in 1982.

The felt is marked "Misto Magma" and the hatband is "Talpa" (Mole).
That was the first period of Borsalino's new management after the Borsalino heirs sold the company to two families from Asti, if I remember correctly.

The felt is fantastic, as is the hat's finish. The color is a mix of gray with subtle shades of light brown. The hatband matches the felt.

Thank you for your likes and appreciation, which I heartily reciprocate.
