A few days late, but getting started in Stingymas with my newest: it's a Bee, and the model is The Ascot. 1 & 7/8" brim, crown is 4 & 3/8" all around. My guess is that this is from VERY close to the end of Bee's existence, so early 2000s.

The Fourth Day of StingyMas has us once again going to Stefan’s magic mystery care package where I came up with the cool Lees London homburg. A homburg can be stingy right? Well if so this one would be it! With just an inch and a half to the edge of the d’orsay curl on the sides about 1 3/4 total the front it certainly gives stingy dimensions. The felt is a medium warm grey with black grosgrain ribbon and a contrasting binding finishes the brim curl.

Today, gray, humid, and with the rain just stopped, we're going for a matching hat for gloomy days.

Mossant size 59 centimeters, or 7 3/8 in the US.

"Chiné Orage" is the color and the felt finish has a mottled hue, which, compared to the other hats I've shown you recently, introduces what's called "heather."

The felt is therefore called "Misto" in Italian, and "Chiné" in French.
The felt is very soft and has a deep gray color with lighter gray threads.
Very comfortable to wear, it was found about ten years ago in France among the leftovers of a shop in Strasbourg.

For Stingymas, I get to celebrate with my one hat from "the other guy" i.e. Stephen L. Stetson. The brim measures 2 inches, but feels smaller.
