I saw this and knew I had to jump on in. A Lagomarsino (misspelled Lagowarsino in the listing) nutria cowboy hat from Argentina.

A roll-of-the-dice with a $5 winning bid. That felt hat looks very interesting and there are a couple Panamas. I asked, but received no further information on brand or size.

One of the $5.00 hat lot. An old western. I would guess 1920s/30s.

Not too many clues as the sweatband is not marked.

Let’s carefully look behind there.

But wait! This was not in the one auction photo.

It’s a nice clean hole — maybe from a .45?

Does that mean this might be blood?

Might have to make that a selling point.

Early 1950's Stetson 3X Beaver. Bound brim is 3 7/8 inches. Comes with original box. One main reason I bought this hat is because you don't see many Stetsons after WW2 with 4 inch brims. I'm ignoring the stuff made in the late '60's and after, which isn't real Stetson.

Had to wait a bit to see that it shipped, but here is something that jumped out at me as soon as I saw it. A Vimenet tuxedo hat (as I have heard this type of underbrim lined hat called). Hopefully here before New Years.

Jumped on a great deal on this one last night on Ebay. Looks like its in great shape. 7 5/8 LO but the sellers measurements seem like it might have shrunk a little so fingers crossed that it fits.

Actually found a couple all too tempting hats on the bay today. One a Stetson Ultimate Finish Key club, and the other a decent looking #1 Quality Stetson thats actually a 7-1/4 long oval ( Im a sucker for older 7-1/4 long ovals lol). Guess were going to find out how fast the USPS recovers from the holiday crush. (Ive still got 15-20 day old ebay purchases floating around somewhere in the post office network) Sub $25 hats are Waaaay too tempting sometimes
