Cap day for me: a union-lable Capas.

We went to see Wicked Part II and I anticipated a full house. I didn't want to sit for 3 hours with a full brim in my lap. The seats next to me ended up being empty, but I enjoyed wearing the cap anyway.

After the film, I took a chance to do some Black Friday shopping. I bought a gift for $24 when the regular price was $56. Wow!

However, I sure was glad I wasn't trying to get into the Lego store.

On a side note, yesterday Mr Bear decided a Bluetooth earpiece looked tasty.... I sure hope he doesnt develop an appetite to low hanging hats lol. At least it happened on Black Friday when everything on Amazon is on sale cheap!

When I find an Albertini-branded hat, I'm always tempted to buy it because of its rarity on the Italian market.

"C. Albertini & C., Intra, exhibited numerous fine fur-trimmed felt hats for men. The company, founded in 1817, specializes in the manufacture of very fine men's hats and felt for hatmaking. It was the first factory to introduce the mechanical manufacturing system to Italy."
This one struck me as worthy of note for its workmanship and finish.

It's worth noting that the Albertini brand merged at some point in its existence with the large Panizza group, which had brought together the hat factories on Lake Maggiore. Albertini. Albertini set up or collaborated with the English hat industries (Stockport I think) starting from the 1950s.

This one in particular has an ultra-classic shape for Italian hatmaking. The felt is solid and holds its shape once formed. There's no label because the paper label is completely white, and the lining is sewn on. Therefore, it's a hat from the classic era of Italian hatmaking. It's a new arrival.

Wow! Another Sunday full of magnificent hats, and hard decisions!! I'm going with the Tirard as #1, the Brummel's Luxor as #2, and a tie between the Barbisio and the Wehrmeir for #3. A truly splendid array of hats this week, Stefan. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, Mark. Much appreciated.

Love it..... a lot like my "Hats by Sam" lid
Yes, they could be siblings. Is the felt on yours very soft? Mine is extremely soft with a wonderful hand. Alan at King's Umbrella did not know the provenance of the felt or even what it is: I believe it might be hare and beaver mixed.
