C.G. Wilke Velour, possibly late 1920s. This Black Velour has a really nice Form. I found this Velour back in 2013.

Thank you Phil! I appreciate that very much. This one was in mint condition & came with the case. I only have about 3-4 eras, styles, creases, of hats that I care much about & this is one of them. I’ve studied blocking of each & know what I like & why. It doesn’t have to be a one-hundred to be in the style I like. Judging by your hats & pics I think you get it too. As far as pricing, it’s only going to go up for good original mint condition One-hundreds & other premium vintage grades of hats. Classic lines will always be classic & should stay that way.

Happy Thanksgiving.
I agree about the creases. I stick to a couple myself as they are the ones most appealing to me. Yeah, I figure I'll have to pay a pretty penny to get one. One sold on OFS just a few minutes ago in my 1/8 LO for much cheaper than I expected. The timing was off for me and couldn't justify spending what I thought it would go for. Wish I had bid now.

I had a bid teed up for $5 less than it sold for, but if it makes you feel better, the original bidder won and I have a feeling he was all in on the hat. I think it was a case of scaring everyone off and getting a bargain. He'd have been there almost no matter the bid, since he was high enough to begin with.

I wasn’t aware of it so didn’t follow it. I wish you had gotten it.

Happy Thanksgiving morning to all! Moving from the bigger Akubras into the more modest "town" or "dress" hats, the problem was choosing what to wear.... So I laid out a Campdraft, A Bogart, and a Stylemaster in the yard and put Mr Bear to work picking for me. He went straight to it, so the Stylemaster it is! ( Perhaps I had put a bit more sweat and scent in this one lol)

On a further happy note, I found out yesterday from my friends at the antique shop that during last saturdays "Christmas in Crockett" shopping event, Six of my hats sold! Great way to clear out some ill fitting or lesser hats from not so spectacular ebay buys. After their comission cut, I have almost $400 coming! Extra Christmas money in the pocket never hurts
Mr. Bear has very good taste indeed! And congrats on the extra funds!

Yep! Wouldn't have made a difference anyway, I'm sure. He probably bid $1200 to ensure he won. I almost wish someone would have made him pay a grand for it lol.
