Just a bit chilly, breezy, and trying to rain... Time to try and pick up some more pecans with the roller before it rains and they sink into the mud. ( or the puppy swallows them lol) Got a bit over 6 gallons harvested yesterday. Good day for a big ol' hat. Today its a nice old Resistol 5x. The longer its here with a big flat brim the more I like it. Im going to forgo any temptation to curl the brim. With the tall crown (almost 7") Im afraid any brim reduction would look funny.... so Im thinking its going to stay just like it is.... Maybe try to find a slightly wider braided horsehair band. Mines just a Beaver Brand and no brim binding, but I have a similar Deadwood inspired hat on the way... Supposed to have been used by an extra on Deadwood ( at least thats the story lol)
