Pick my leather backpack straps please

Hello all, I realize this isn’t a leather jacket question but it is about leather. Ryan at Hennwood leather is making a backpack for me out of Wickett & Craig russet and Horween Dublin and Derby English Tan. Choices for the backpack strap is first picture left to right natural veg tan, W&C Russett, Hermann Oak Chesnut bridle and second picture W&C brown buck latigo on the left. I’m not sure how these will develop over time.

I like the natural color

Personally, I’d go for the darker leather. My reasoning is that, even though I really like the potential patina that natural leather can develop, I’d be a bit hesitant, I think the straps would become too uneven in their coloration pretty quickly. For example, I tend to rest my hand on the right strap more than the left, and usually in the same spot. Then again, that uneven wear could end up looking kind of cool too.
