Does anybody ever get the TB/Vanson Oxford in Abyss Blue Bainbridge and have any photos of the aged hide?

I'm not quite sure why you would want them up to the elbow - however with the cast I have on my left arm presently, it might make sense!

Not bad looking otherwise, I would hope there's a color choice for the detailed patches & stripes.

I’m pretty sure that Vanson made this jacket for the character Wolverine in the X-Men movies.

Lol, there's just no way you never saw this jacket before, R. This is possibly the most talked about Vanson jacket ever. It's a repro of some ancient X-men movie jacket and there are two or three variations. Lots of people found this forum thanks to this jacket, actually.

I slightly recognize it thanks to the photo @JonS1967 provided. Actually, I'm not very adept or cultured at the "popular" movies of any recent times. A few but not all that many.

Vanson Leftfield commando: Carlos840 covered it in so much detail there's nothing more to add. I once tried one and had to decide it was too long. The ghost of a regret still lingered in the back of my mind, painfully reappearing everytime someone posted a picture, because it always looks so good. Recently I found one my size in nearly new condition and couldn't resist. It's an original model with the flannel lining, slim fitting and in X 150. If it wasn't for the obvious flaws (excessive length and unpractical cuffs widened to accommodate oversized watches) it could be the best MC jacket ever.

There is a company called "Logan's Closet" that worked with Vanson to make reproductions of the X-Men movie jackets.

They are great jackets, but their production lead times are measured in years. I'm on year 3 or 4 waiting for a couple of jackets I ordered from them.

I bought the Vanson Wolverine jacket in 2021; ordered it in March 2021 and received in September 2021. I worked with the folks at Vanson and Dan from Logan's Closet to modify Vanson's stock jacket to match the final design in the movie. I did not have them distress it, I wanted the distressing to be natural from wear. My only regret is that to match the movie design they put the zipper on the opposite side. It took a couple of seasons to wear it in, it was so damn stiff when it arrived. I love it!

I've searched this thread and others without much specific sizing advice on the Comet (non-PLU version).

I am usually a 44 in most jackets, sometimes a 42 but those tend to be too small in leather styles. I wear a 44 in a Schott (though could possible get away with a 42 depending on the jacket) and a 44 in Real McCoy's, and according to Vanson's size chart I ought to be a 44.

My only question is the actual measurements for the 44 comet I see online seem a touch larger than what I would wear but I also see that everyone says Vanson runs a bit snug. Maybe it's due to the patterns meant for riding or the thickness of the leather and they fit more tightly than pure measurements would indicate.

Anyways, would happily take any sizing advice anyone has for the Comet!
