A very recent purchase.
Panizza Non Plus Ultra 4.jpg

I was enchanted by the shape and overall color of the hat, including the ribbon. I love monochrome hats.

Panizza Non Plus Ultra "Foulard" hat, size 60 cm.

As described on the sweatband, the felt is very light and malleable, holding its shape well.
A high-quality Panizza product, one of the rarest on the Italian market.

The felt color is "Rapallo," a town in Liguria, and the band is "Bolivia." A name often used by Italian hatmakers in the past. The felt needs further cleaning, but it still looks great.

Thank you for your comments on the Borsalino "Mascotte."
Thank you for showing me hats of every color and shape every day; they fuel my curiosity.

A nice rehabbed Silverbelly Stetson today for a 6 hr round roadtrip up into Northeast Texas to pick up a cute little papered 4 mo old White Labrador that needed rehoming. He made the long ride fine, but had to pick him up and carry him inside when we got home. ( figured that was kinder than dragging him in lol). He poked around a couple rooms until he found a nice quiet dark, cool spot in one of the bathrooms and plopped himself there all comfortable. Poor little guy looks like he doesnt understand what happened today lol Anyway, everyone say hello to Bear.. we will see if he can fill in for Mr Moose on the photobombs

What a lucky pup! He’ll probably get a good night sleep and then find his lab puppy energy, lol.
