Sunday and the hats of the week.

Weather was cool enough in the morning to give the refurbished Hückel Durit a spin.

Wednesday was a bit special. Met up with Daniele @Daniele Tanto, his partner and daughter in Haarlem for lunch on this lovely spot here along the Spaarne river. We didn't talk about too much so as not to bore the ladies to death.
The English Hatter was the hat for the occasion.

The Rehfus, how I covet that hat Stefan. I have just the blazer to go with it.
Once again, Robert, you present a magnificent example of sartorial elegance.

Stefan's Rehfus hat might have topped off today's attire. The colour just goes so well.

Mark, thank you for your kind compliment, I passed it onto Tina. "Aw shucks," she said and went all girly & silly. Today's trousers and shirt are straight off her sewing machine and the hat she asked me to wear, it's a bespoke, made by Susquehana and her favourite.

You made that Baileys something special, looking good Sir!

Stetson Boss Raw Edge, Kettle Finish, Real Nutria that I bought back around May. 4 1/2 inch brim before they added the curl, 7 inch open crown. Dates around early 1930's.

Happy Labor Day all! Had my Brother and Sister in Law come up for a visit so we smoked ribs and drank Rum Punches all weekend.

Have been seeing several kettle curled brims lately...Got me inspired to go ahead and get the old Resistol done. I dont normally do well with a 4-1/2" brim, but a curl makes it more manageable. Little bit of edge cleanup to finish but Im happy. Wore it out for coffee this morning, but all my normal places in this little burg were closed for the holiday! Oh well... coffee out on the patio today.
