Hello everyone.. Long time lurker and reader of the Fedora Lounge, but just became a new member. Late to the party, I know.. but I’m looking to buy a WWII Era Navy Peacoat in a size 42R Or 44R. Looking specifically for the 10 button, collar latch model in really good to excellent condition, as I am not a collector and this will be a daily wearer. Ive been on the hunt for a while, and it seems these particular sizes are a needle in a haystack for that war time period. I’m 5’11” and 190 lbs, so I’m hoping for as close to the following measurements as possible:

Pit to Pit - 20-22

Shoulder to Shoulder- 20-22

Chest (sizing) 42-44 Regular

Sleeve Seam to Wrist - 24-26

I know it’s pretty hard to really know fit without actually trying on the coat, so any help or anyone willing to consider selling is appreciated and would be interested in offers. Thanks in advance.

I feel a 44 would be too large for you. 42 might be borderline to big. I'm about you're size and I wear a 40. I have a 38 WW2 one that I can fit in but the length is short

I have a 1950s peacoat I’ve been meaning to list that may fit you! Will follow up with photos and measurements
