What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

For the fifth day of StingyPendence Week (the actual StingyPendence Day) I’m wearing a 1960s/70s Cavanagh Panama.

Late, late, LATE, but here’s my first Stingypendence straw, @BobHufford. Our spotty internet service here at the pond discourages my time online. This week we are signing up for Starlink, so my kids can visit and actually work effectively from here. Maybe they’ll even stay longer. WooHA!!!

Very sharp, Charlie! That tip sent me down a rabbit hole of FR Tripler history; exactly the kind of wonderful thing TFL posts so often engender.

Good morning on the 4th of July.

Yesterday evening I was enjoying outside escapades under the brim of a Stetson Stratoliner.

Home and a walkabout under the brim of a Tropicool.

I ran over and filled up with fuel for the lawn mower. A JC Penny thin ribbon straw was the perfect errand hat.

I went over to visit my neighbor for a "Pour at 8:00am" wearing a Champ. the airy Champ was the perfect hat for sitting on his dock.

StingyPendence? Had to look that up: "Pendence" generally refers to the state of being undecided. It can also mean being suspended or hanging. Curious definition, but one thing is for sure Steve: "You wear that hat so well; it looks like it was made for you!"

Tina made these trousers, with the hat that Gamble & ***n made, in mind. They compliment one another so well that I chose the felt rather than a straw, even though we are enjoying some serious sunshine. Tina even bought the tie, it was one of those chance purchases that she came across at a vintage festival. I love it.

here's my entry for StingyPendance Day !!

Very nice, Bob. LOVE that pug!

The brims may be stingy, but you gentlemen are quite the opposite with your contributions!

Hope you all had a fulfilling Fourth.
