New to me Borsalino and vintage tie.

It's about to start storming here shortly, so I'll be walking down to my local lounge in an effort to get stranded.
I'll have to survive for a while on Gin Rickeys, but I'll get by.
What ever it takes to help support the local economy.

A few days ago, I grabbed a hat sold on eBay, advertised as

Vintage Dobbs Black Fedora Hat Genuine Fur Felt Size 7 1/8 Fifth Avenue New York​

It cost me nothing to make a low-ball offer and almost nothing to actually buy it.
I got it in my hands, and it was a bit of a surprise once I got to really see it in the light and clean, reshape and rebash it.

It's actually a quite nice Dobbs Saville in Navy. Don't know the "vintage" part of it, but it was from before metric sizing. I like this even better than what I thought I was getting and wore it today to show off.

A bit warm for it, but since it was evening, wore this ligjt green Royal Stetson Custom V to dinner and now out heating up the wood fired hot tub.

This is the hat that I reach for more than any other in my collection. It is a fully custom made, 100% Beaver Felt, by Paterson Hats of Sydney, BC.

The hat might look white in colour in this photo, but it's actually pale blue. I
particularly like the slim hat ribbon, at first I wasn't so sure, but it's really grown on me.

Just when I thought I had enough stingy brims I spied this one recently & the color combination won me over. Royal Stetson in Silverbelly with Copper grosgrain ribbon hatband with matching brim binding.

Lets take the Akubra Boomerang out into the fog this morning. Fun little hat. When it first got here I thought about flattening the brim just a bit, but ended up leaving it as-is. Good sun coverage
