What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Small, black and old... a simple Stetson hat sold by prominent Greenville clothier Hyman Endel who was active in trade in from the 1870s into the early 1900s. He died in 1925. This modest soft hat has the markers of early 20th century Stetson manufacture - an early stamp LOT 1781, silver foil store imprint and inkless debossed Fray sweatband. Simple and comfortable with a handsome bow that is fringed both coming and going.

Always handy to have an inspection mirror to safely check for interesting hatarcheology behind the sweatband.

Just got that hat in Turquoise. It's a fun one. You wear it well.
Thanks Jeff, and congrats on getting the turquoise - I think you'll love wearing it, but expect to get a lot of attention :) . That turquoise is a stunning color in person. Pictures don't do it justice.
