What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Small, black and old... a simple Stetson hat sold by prominent Greenville clothier Hyman Endel who was active in trade in from the 1870s into the early 1900s. He died in 1925. This modest soft hat has the markers of early 20th century Stetson manufacture - an early stamp LOT 1781, silver foil store imprint and inkless debossed Fray sweatband. Simple and comfortable with a handsome bow that is fringed both coming and going.

Always handy to have an inspection mirror to safely check for interesting hatarcheology behind the sweatband.

A Mossant Bayard today. I changed this crown to a higher level. It was very low, and changed it into a center dent. I think it works out well now. The felt is very soft of this one and i like this hat very much.

Its May, its Texas, and its warm and muggy.... seems like a good morning for a western-ish fedora. This ones an American Hat Company from Houston, Tx. ( Might as well make it a Texas made hat as well).

Its May, its Texas, and its warm and muggy.... seems like a good morning for a western-ish fedora. This ones an American Hat Company from Houston, Tx. ( Might as well make it a Texas made hat as well).
