Slightly on the small end. As for felt quality its ok, I don't know enough to judge. I have 2 hats my favourite is the Reuben High Crown which is soft and very comfortable. My other is a Barstow fedora, but the brim is very stiff and I don't like it, the crown is soft though, but it's probably my least favourite hat and is snug for a 63cm.
Thank you.

It's a gray 41 degree afternoon down here @ Rock Bottom so it only seems fitting to be wearing this Gray Royal Stetson Open Road. The felt on this one is thin and soft and molds easily without steam. The mail lady just dropped this one off minutes ago and all I did was give it a good brushing and creased it like I like 'em ! TGIF Y'all !! That's an absolute beauty, Timmy! Congrats on the score!

It is a very exciting weekend. Last year, I wrote a short libretto for my nephew who is studying musical composition at a university in Ohio. He composed an opera from my text and tonight it will be performed by faculty at the university. We are on our way to the performance now.

It will be a big weekend - the lad's rock band will perform tomorrow night and then on Sunday he has a jazz guitar concert.

A weekend with my sister and her family to celebrate my favorite nephew!

I chose the Knox Twenty for the weekend. It travels easily and presents well both for older crowds and the university aged.

All the best to you for your weekends, friends.

Looks like musical talent runs on the family, Nathan! I can't imagine who kewl it must feel to see something like this grow out of something you wrote. Kudos to you, AND to your talented nephew. And EXCELLENT choice of hat for the weekend.

Today's galvantin' was done under the cover of the latest fedora to join my stable, having arrived just yesterday.

What I believe to be an early 50s RS, in a GORGEOUS blue-grey, and with a hatband unlike any I've ever seen on a Stetson. VERY happy to have scored this one.

Very nice, sir. Love the CP AND the jacket
If the jacket looks familiar it is Wested Leather’s Last Crusade in shrunken lamb.

They did the originals for the movie and you can specify the back and arm length plus action back and under arm gusset on any size.

They are a great mob to deal with as well.

It is bit more “structured” compared to the Raiders jacket.

The weekend it is, and you look the part in the Akubra. The lady and I are off out in the old MG soon. She's still in make-up mode in the bathroom, which gives me time to catch up on the hat thread.

The bespoke hat was made to order, my wife Tina made the shirt and trousers and Gamble & ***n made the fine hat that compliments Tina's work so well. (There's something similar in silver/grey in the pipeline.)

Love the hat. It is one that appreciates the sun to get the full effect. Though with the MG (assuming it is *******) it maybe not the hat for that day out.

It has been forty years since I last drove an MG which belonged to a friend. What year? His was early 1970s from memory the sport car.

Great to see bespoke work in garments. Sadly I have ten thumbs and reattaching a button is the height of my tailoring experience.

Thank you for the compliment, there's a few photos of the MG in one of The Lounge's vintage car threads, but I have found a photo that depicts that hat and blazer, look to the rear of the car where my wife and I stand.

Ok one of the much older sedans from Morris Garage. The two tone paint work rather matches your shoe style.
