Another nice conversion, Rick. Well done!Grey foggy morning again. Thought the day needed a little color. This was one of the cowboy project hats that started out as an old 3x Stetson. Trimmed the brim down to 2-1/2". Nice soft felt. To my kid brain, the taller crown gives it kind of a 30's-40's vibe

That is a covetable lid, Bill! Amazing color combo.Mallory at the uni today. I once had a viewer call this my old man’s hat and I showed them the liner that proved otherwise.

Thanks DavidThat is a covetable lid, Bill! Amazing color combo.
Nice addition.Happy to see the mailman walking up the sidewalk with a big box today. After 15 days and about 8 different cities, my new-to-me Stratoliner B in Walnut finally arrived in great shape!. Im actually rather fond of these modern Stratoliner B hats for a good run around town topper. All are nice soft felt, fit my head well and are really comfortable to wear. Did not really set out to gather many of these up, but now I have a Silverbelly, a Caribou, and a Walnut.... time to fire up the steamer and touch it up a bit

What an elegant hatR. & M. Wegener, possibly mid to later 1920s. Great Form and Felt with a curled blind stitched over welt Brim. This was my first 1930s or older R. & M. Wegener find after looking for a long time. I found this Soft Felt back in 2014.

Thanks, Mark. Much appreciated.Thank heavens you remembered in time! Not sure I could take a non-Stefan-lineup Sunday!! For me, the Echter Mayser is this week's clear winner, with the Feinste taking second, and the Brummel's a strong third.
O my. That is something else, Vic. Beautiful.
Wonderful hat, Steve. Really love that style, which seems to have disappeared after WWII.R. & M. Wegener, possibly mid to later 1920s. Great Form and Felt with a curled blind stitched over welt Brim. Joe, Thank you! Your Dobbs "Westward" is an award winning TAR Tuesday entree! What an elegant hat
Stefan, Thank you! I agree about this Curled brim type. Homburg types survived but not these Curled brim - blind stitched - over welt types LOL!Wonderful hat, Steve. Really love that style, which seems to have disappeared after WWII.
