Thanks again fellas. I also had to look up Sandhiller. I found one on here from @BobHufford. I wonder how many of this model were made.
I was lucky to snag it. It was listed under Woman's hats and a size 6-1/2, but that was referring to the inside width. The seller accepted returns so I took a chance with it. Happily It turned out to be a size 7-1/8.

This was a Stetson model that I hadn't heard of before. "Sandhiller" - early 1950s.

Cool. I live about 8 miles outside of Coshocton. The hat looks like it could be an OR or Strat clone.

The snowstorm this week kept the kids and grandkid from visiting to celebrate the anniversary of my 65th trip around the sun today so I celebrated by lighting that big brush “candle” in the yard. Wearing my brush-burning Resistol.

I can see that, but it really has a different sense to it in person. The crown isn't so tall and boxy as an OR or Strat.

Grey foggy morning again. Thought the day needed a little color. This was one of the cowboy project hats that started out as an old 3x Stetson. Trimmed the brim down to 2-1/2". Nice soft felt. To my kid brain, the taller crown gives it kind of a 30's-40's vibe
