My new aquisition just came in the mail today. I picked this up for a song from a lady on the internet and it's absolutely a beauty.
It was her father in laws hat that he had since new. Not sure, but I believe he may have hardly ever wore it or never at all. The color is a beautiful blue shade. Even came with the original box but that was pretty trashed to say the least. In the box was a wrapped Muriel cigar and a plastic rain cover with the original paper work for the cover. Hard to find size 7 3/8. Hope I'm posting pics of this in the correct forum. Absolutely wonderful colours inside and out. Congrats on picking up that beauty of a Stetson.

It arrived today. I thought it would be something a bit special. I wasn't disappointed. So many threads to post this one in. I'll start here.

G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro & Co Bowler in excellent condition for its almost 100 years existence.

Here's the adjustable tie to "regulate" the size

Despite it being a punti size 6, it fits. Guess that elastic tie helps :)

Most excellent, Phil. The ME hats are, IMO, an exceptional subset of the mid-century Stetsons.

My first Stetson with Mode Edge. I paid more than I typically would but I really needed this one. This hat is chocolaty brown. I messed with the lighting a bit to try and show the features a little better.

Thank you, Randy! I'm very pleased with it. I have another one on the way that I scored for lots cheaper and it will be sent to @Randall Renshaw for a little work.

I only have one other Sovereign Twenty to compare it to and it's an OR. The hand of this Stetson Twenty ME is much nicer. The felt of this one feels significantly thicker but still very soft. It'll make a great cool/cold weather lid.

That’s a great old school crease on there, looks beautiful. I have one of these in gray but it’s pretty beat up and the sweatband has been replaced. But I love the tall crown and soft felt. As classic as it gets. Enjoy!

Thanks, David! You are a man of many great hats, so if it catches your eye, I know I got a good one.

I'm going to reply to my own comment in order to make a correction. I took out my Stetson Twenty OR and it's every bit as nice as the ME. It had been a while since I handled it. Both felts are magnificent.

"Felt" like I needed to clear that up.

A true beauty.
I agree with Randy. MEs are Some of Stetsons best vintage offerings with an excellent felt finish.

What can I do for HAS? it's becoming a real problem.

Wait. You’re asking…US??
You really think WE know where the prison keys are hidden?!
Relax, bro. Make yourself at home.

P.S.
A peanut, [legume] sealed tightly in a can of mixed nuts says, “if you guys think I’m stayin in here with a bunch of nuts, you’re crazy!”

Very little, I'm afraid. It can't be cured, only managed. Those most effected by HAS will find the slightest things linked to hats and make them a big deal. I know one person who saw a child's book at Wal Mart that referred to hats and could hardly contain himself. Bill @Bill Hughes uses one of the better management options currently available. Professional counselors refer to this as the "one in, one out" theory.
