Sometimes the sweatband ends up being bad:

Sometimes it ends up being good! This was not shown or referenced in the auction. With a $17.50 bid I can probably recoup enough to make the Stylepark Templeform box it came in free.

Wow, that is an epic haul! Congrats, Bob.

Thanks Stefan! I didn't mean to imply they were all in one box for that price. The Resistol was on its own. The Flagship and Strat came with a couple of "Indiana Jones" hats and another Stetson and the Gideon was with a Bailey and the Bennet (Mossant).

Great bunch of hats! Except for the one sweatband they look to be in great shape. Congrats on the haul!

Best buck of hats I’ve seen in a single haul…we’ll be talking about the “May 2023 finds” for a long time to come.

Thanks fellas! I left out the this Alexander. This one fits me well, but needs shaping after shipping in a tight box.

You should buy a lottery ticket, Bob. You're on a roll at the mo.

Especially like the pug on that one.

Thanks Steve! I just bought a couple of lottery tickets, but may have used up the luck already.

Wow...what they said...what a hat haul, Bob. Some very nice one's in that bunch.

Just casually left that one out.

I hit the 10 photo per post limit and forgot to go back to this one.

I’ve wanted a vintage Strat with a 2 1/2” brim for awhile now. It’s the second hat I’ve owned from Carlson’s in Northampton, which is cool because my wife and I love to visit Northampton when we are driving to my mother in law’s. Lots of great bookstores and lunch places. Will have to do a Vintage Hat Store post one of these days…

My new Akubra Blue Mountains from The Hattery in Katoomba, Aus., arrived today. I ordered a week ago Sunday and was surprised it got here so fast, although I did pay $8 extra for EMS shipping. I think I'm going to like this one a lot. More when I have a chance.

4X Miller, of Denver, Colorado. 3 1/4 inch brim, 6 1/4 inch open crown. Don't know the date of this hat. Opinions, anyone? 40's? Could it be from the 30's? The style looks like a San Fran to me, except for the shape of the crown.

This 4X Miller is a Protecto. There are a couple other Protecto hats posted on FL. Protecto is either a hat style, etc, or else relates to the sweatband. Supposedly Byer Rolnick used the Protecto term and Mallory also used the term Protecto.
