How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Got my battered tan Wayfarer through today. This hide is incredible but, man is it tough. I have a tumbled Brown Highwayman and that is my only reference point for jackets like this and their pliability. Of course the tumbled brown needed breaking in but was a little more forgiving. I love the battered tan though, really beautiful.

It fits great and I am looking forward to seeing how much better it'll look when it is broken in.

It fits pretty well I'd say. The sleeves are longer than what I'd go for but they're not as wide as I expected.

It is short in the back(Around 57cm or 22,5") but must be that I haven't worn a jacket in months because it felt quite long somehow. For being goatskin it is actually rather stiff and holds up on it's own.

Me too. I really like the cut, extreme front drop, ala 50’s excelled chest pocket and the collar. I’m tempted.

I massaged it a bit but still stands up on it’s own.

Sleeve lenght is longer than what I prefer but I having had a bad experience with sleeves being too short I prefer it this way for now because it doesn’t have any sort of strap or buttoning cuff. I’d have like it to be able to adjust it but it’s fine. I also have a vintage one like this.

Looks superb! I don’t see the black version on the SJC site. They have a russet and a two tone. I think the black is the best of the bunch. Well done. I really like that!

That's a pretty cool jacket. I've always wondered about SJC quality. They offer great looking pieces at competitive prices.

Last week I ordered a couple of club collar dress shirts, 20s style. VAT was deducted at check out for European customers (total amount is divided by 1.2). They were shipped the same day and delivered the next day. I was positively surprised by the quality of both material and construction: Mother of pearl buttons, split shoulder yoke, button placket is one with the shirt (no pre-fab) etc etc.

Unfortunately the shirts fit like a tent. Zero taper to the waist and huge sleeves. I guess that's true to the 20s style? Apart from that, the shirts are beautiful so instead of returning them to SJC I took them to my tailor to have the sleeves and waist taken in.

Great product but I wish the fit would be just a bit more contemporary.

Wasn't planning on getting a Schott B3. But, when the price is right for a basically unworn jacket, I can't say no. Found this at the thrift store for a steal of a price! A size too big, but I ain't complaining.

The only other time this happened was when I found an Orchard B-3 for $10 at the thrift store. Not sure who priced it that low, but I was very thankful!

Village Discount Outlet. My best luck has been with the one on Kedzie north of Irving Park. They even had a vintage real shearling rancher jacket (like Marlboro Man) for $50. Perhaps one of my favorite things about them is that their higher-priced items are just popular fashion (e.g. North Face, Levi’s, A&F, etc.). They’ll price better designers or more technical wear (5.11 Tactical, as you know I love, haha) at much cheaper prices.

The B-3 I got for $10 was the SA Thrift Store near Sheridan/Broadway.

I'm back in Europe after a few years in roasting hot Asia, so I can justify a new jacket once again. I think Aero's bootlegger looks great, as does their board/cafe racer in Buco J-100 trim. I have some brown CXL samples, in steer and horse, and they look great, especially the HH. I've had an eye on a new Aero for years, but I'm a bit concerned about mobility- Vicenza is lighter and softer but looks kinda flat and overly uniform to me, CXL looks wonderful but can be extremely stiff from experience, and the Badalassi seems to swing both ways.

Or I could spend twice as much money and buy this from Thedi:

My vote goes to Thedi. Twice as expensive but also at least twice as good, imo.

I own one in the same 'bruciato' horsehide. Different style.
