Vansons arrived. Will show pictures tomorrow. The comp weight hide is visually the most pleasing out of all Vansons I own. Very smooth even grain, not as crazy grained as my America jacket, not as thick and plastic-ish finish as my Dakota, weight-wise it is not the heaviest nor the lightest of my Vansons. 5-6 lbs range in size 36, so still plenty substantial for riding or whatever abuse. I‘m on the edge to just go and order more.

Sport Clad arrived. Beautiful jacket. Lovely hide. A bit roomier than I expected but a decent fit. I suspect this is actually a 46” plenty of sleeve and body length.

Another arrival. Monarch! Beautiful, thick hide. This one goes to Dena tomorrow to have the shoulder pads removed and the length chopped a bit. No debate on this one. It’s getting a hair cut. Crude mock up below.

It has gathered sides, what I call the "invisible halfbelt" like the Kurland I picked up. I figure making this one shorter is essential. It will be the brown equivalent to the Kurland. Better pics when it returns from Dena's workshop.

I bought this one today on the SJC sample sale. Had a look at @Metatron photos and review here of the brown one and decided to give it a go. Basically the black vintage one I had in similar style is a mess, stains everything , etc so wanted a replacement.

Further to my D-1 from Aero - I goofed.
Asked for an inch off the arms and length, definitely didn’t need it off the arms!
It’s also a little tight for my intended use, may try to resell…

Picked up my first Langlitz today at a garage sale. Seller had 0 clue what they had. I kid you not, came with a pair of Sz 28 Aero leather pants for a STEAL. Interior is pretty beat up, but exterior is immaculate. Nothing a little cleaning can’t fix. It fits pretty tight so it’s likely a catch and release. Same goes for the pants. Jacket fits like a 40?

Wow, beautiful jacket! Everything is in place: all belt loops, the laces, all zips pullers... even a Sam Browne belt. Enjoy it!
