How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

[Jin431]

Freewheelers La Brea "Black Jack" Edition. It has arrived in parents' place since May and I could not pick it up due to COVID-19 travel ban. Luckily one of my friends is travelling back and he is able to pick it up and bring it to me next Month.

It’s their Horsehide Riders jacket with collar. A couple members here have posted this jacket over the last year, @Bfd70 made a real impression on me when he got his as it looked simply perfect on him.
I started looking at this jacket again last week and since I had no idea when my Vanson would be arriving I was seriously on the cusp of purchasing it. When I got the news on Wednesday that the Vanson was complete I was able to stop myself for a few days but as you can see my self control did not last.
I should have it in hand sometime this week and I will have the pleasure of alternating between this one and the Vanson as the weather finally starts to cool down around here.

Wow, that thing is sleek and very crisp looking! Hope it fits well! Congratulations!

HD,
That’s not your closet, is it?

I thought of @ton312 when I first saw this, then I saw the label and thought of me and bought it. Thurlow Leather World. I have no shame when leather lust presents.

I understand. I'm jealous.

Nope..Just figure the photo might be of interest to one of the members here to more precisely finish out his latest ensemble...

Two new jackets for me this season.

The first is from AG Jeans. They used the khaki-like material for the outer part and lined it with real shearling. I've always wanted a jacket in this style with real shearling. This jacket is "hidden" on their site. You can only find it if you search for it by name on their site. It’s called the Silo jacket and comes in cognac (shown) or black. They had it on sale for 30% but one night it dropped to 70%. I went ahead and snagged it. Shortly after, the discount was back to 30% off.

The second is from Coach. This jacket is a shearling version of the vintage coach's jacket. Got a huge discount on it from buying it second hand. It's lined with a thick, soft, straight gray shearling. The outer leather is extremely soft.

What’s your impression on the sizing of the Silo jacket? No details on the site

I was debating between two sizes and reached out to customer service. They said the jackets are true to size and gave the following details:

Medium: 38-40” chest, 32-34” waist
Large: 42-44” chest, 36-38” waist

My chest measurement is 38.5” and my waist is 34. Most of my jackets are size 40 or mediums.

I bought a medium as the large just seemed way too big for my measurements. I’m able to button up the jacket and it’s comfortable on my shoulders and chest. But it is a snag too tight on my waist.

Try to get one, you'd really love it! These were made official from HD and originally came with a chain and a badge. Mine is missing both but that's okay.

Sadly, the crown part doesn't stick that way, it'd just cover the chain. XD I honestly thought it'd be unwearable but it's a very tame cap.

You can look, but you can´t touch. Since May... That´s delayed gratification big time. Hope it fits. Looks stunning!

[navetsea]

don't add chain, looks better without. I hope you don't plan to wear the cap, the cross zip, the pants, and the boots in one ensemble

Keen to hear your thoughts on this. I like mine (without collar and handwarmers) very much. Chest-sleeve-ratio is tricky, though. Bfd70 pulls it off perfectly, but he is a slender guy. I manage, but I am really grateful for the 2-way-zipper if I want to layer anything more than a T-Shirt.

Dammit, I’ve been spending too much time on this forum!

I’m still waiting for a custom cross-zip to be made and I’m already starting to think about a snuff suede cafe racer.

N-1 arrived...turns out it’s the jacket I never realized I needed!
I love it!

I was just thinking earlier today now I'm now doomed with not being able to switch to leather pants altogether because I can't wear leather pants and a cross zip and I can't wear the hat with leather pants and maybe it's best to just leave it at home if I'm wearing anything else leather. But it's such a cool hat! Well, it will find it's use next summer, once the jacket season ends.

I am a bit nervous about that myself. I messaged Bfd70 about the fit before purchasing and he mentioned that the rib cage on the jacket seemed tight to him relative to the other measurements. I also checked in with the guys at IH and they recommended a smaller size than the one I ended up ordering so I hope to have a bit of breathing room without a loose or sloppy fit.

I will keep my eyes open for a HD model. I bought one last night that I've been watching. It looks like a 20s/30s original. More of a work cap in leather than a MC cap. It is well worn. If it works out I can use it as a pattern to have one made.

Post some photos when it arrives! Leather caps are really fun. I was always wearing baseball caps but never quite liked them but these are so cool.

This 40s deerskin came in 4 or 5 months ago first time posting. The deerskin is fairly thick with no flacking the finish with a rather raw feeling. I had the jacket dry cleaned and removed the lining. I know it is large on me I may relocate the cuff and ****** buttons. I think the jacket was intended to fit large. If I move the ****** buttons, the patch pockets and yoke will not be centered
