Thanks! Yes, both sides of the brim have a felted welt edge which we hardly ever see. Brad Bowers might have another example but I can't remember.

I tried to wear it with the brim up & down. She's just not a fan of me in shorter brimmed hats.

After a lot of trial and error, I tend to agree with her. I don't look good in hats with less than a 2" brim.

The brim on the porkpie I had on today is 2-1/2". If you had a stingy brim new one, I agree with your wife.

I ran over for some newly roasted coffee. Coffee first, other things next. A Stetson Fifteen was my charcoal hat choice.
