Post New Hats Here!

[drmaxtejeda]

Very nice, Max. Another winner. I like it in grey and blue coloured hats are very rare. I think it says M. Grafite, so Misto Grafite (which is fitting for a grey hat). We haven't seen a hat with that colour before. Early sixties for that one too.

Grazie, Stefano! [emoji2]

Borsalino Extra Superiore in Bronzo. The ribbon has a slight color gradient in Aligi.
Nice hand, very maluable, with stitched brim.
More details in the "Borsalino Brotherhood".

Nice one, Georg. Your daughter knows how to pose a hat (you never had a chance after that of course).

This is my last big haul, I swear! I had to leave some behind.

That's a sight to behold. I'm guessing you weren't the only one swearing, Max! Or is she really that understanding?

[steur]

Nope! They are too big [emoji1]

She can have them altered, can't she? Just like your Knox!

Beautiful hat, Max. Nice catch in that condition. I've never seen that narrow brim binding on a Borsalino before.

My $15 Stetson 7XCB showed up. Turns out to be an Open Road. Needs a bath & block, but probably destined to be a beater.

If I’m finding the correct Mr. Netherton he was the Director of Meat Operations for a large grocery store chain in Michigan. Lived to be 95.

Pretty classy beater, Bob!
Nice catch!

That looks better than beater! It may clean up nice. Nice hat regardless!

Thanks Bowen and Ed! I'm mostly concerned with that ring around the hat (from another being stacked on it for years?). I am happy that the 7-1/2" size quote was truly 7-1/2 (and a long oval to boot).

Yes, that was the idea. The Marathon is especially nice.

The Marathon is nicer than the Bailey. The Bailey's nice, but..

I think we all would have been surprised to hear you say the Bailey was the better of them. Still, I think Bailey made some decent hats back in the day.

Yes, it's good, really. Just not as good.
