What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Janyška "Praga" possibly late 1930s to later 1940s. I believe this hat was made from Hare. This hat is from my May 2016 Czech find.

Janyška Paper Size Tag from the same find. Janyška had an ingenious logo design.

Thank you, Serge. I only refer to it as a Panama because it's an Ecuadorian woven, Montecristi weave hat body. Other than that it's a straw cowboy/western hat with a 7" open crown and a 4" brim.

That was my farmer hat today...this is my sombrero. First time back on a horse in 10 weeks to the day Doc said 6 months. I laughed...some....and waited.

I don't have very many hats, so sometimes i wear the same one 2-3 days in a row. We all have our own particular taste/style for what we like in our selection of head gear. I tend to gravitate to stingy brims and brim snapped up. In an earlier post I have this same hat on with the brim snapped down... Looked cool, but I really prefer the brim up. So for today, I'm still wearing my early 1960s Cervo.
I also wear my sunglasses at night.

Totally works man. Brim up on me looks clownish. On you— severe and cool as hell.

I'm looking to buy a couple felt bodies to see what I can do about building my own hats. I didn't have any luck with Winchester. They won't sell to individuals.

Early morning dog walk in a vintage Knox Twenty. The glorious hued soft felt and signature edge treatment certainly give the hat a hint of luxury. The quality, design and build of the leather sweat has the hat wearing very light on the head.

After the walk I am going to sip my coffee by the lake. I have changed to a Cordova Cap in a medium weight wool. This "Quiet Man" styled cap is made with vintage wool with an appealing pattern.
