Did I go off half cocked again? If that silhouette's a whippet, why isn't it cocking it's leg?
Great looking hat, Bill. Love that ribbon.
Thanks Red. Yes, nice and sunny today, if a little chilly.I can name that tune in two notes! Looking sharp today. Sunshine.
The Battersby puts on a nice shine. Good looking hat for sure.Finished my paper late last night, now for a trip up to campus in Portland (OR).
Today, we will continue the European Tour of hat by staying in England. Stockport, England to be exact. A Battersby Homburg from the late 40s to early 50s. Black, super soft felt for a "hommie".

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style.
Another early soft hat from the century club - with a Stetson mark that I have not seen on another survivor from the era. The early silver foil store imprint is very nice on this hat - I've found it flaked off in other old hats.

I'm not wearing a hat today. I'm in my home office, watching the 5"-8" of Spring we're getting today.
And I've always believed it was impolite and improper to wear a hat indoors.
