Very informative review DH, I kind of like the color, but I know that was not what you were expecting. The wonky brim should be fixable, but you shouldn't have to. I think I'll pursue the D'aquino bowler over this brand. Looking forward to the final verdict on your noggin. My Agnoulita arrived today.
My first impressions on opening the box were:
1: it's smaller than I was expecting
2. It's a lighter in color than the photos depicted
It's always a bummer when the initial reaction is one of let down.
The brim is a little wonky, but I'm sure I can work out those wrinkles. The felt is surprisingly soft and very pliable. The felt is far superior to the D'aquino I just took delivery of. The ribbon and bow are quite nice. The liner is fine too. Now the sweat; it is shockingly nice. I love how soft and supple this goatskin sweat is. I wish more hats used this quality of sweat. I should back up and also note that the box it shipped in was very nice and reminiscent of days long gone. Strangely, there are no markings on the sweat and no size label either. The hat does seem to fit true to size or maybe just slightly on the small side.
I guess my only reservations are the color and the proportions. I'll work on the brim later and post shots of me wearing it on the What Hat Are You Wearing Today thread. Maybe it will just take some time to adjust to it. I've gotten used to tall crowned hats.

One last dig on the company: my experience is in line with everything else I've heard about Agnoulita: they don't reply to your emails. Expect to pay your money, get ignored, and hope for the best. For what it's worth, I don't see myself ordering from them again.

Thanks dh, I spent about 30 minutes on it so far. Getting some of the cup out of the front and roughing in the crown. Still need about 15 minutes to smooth it out.

+1You nailed that crease, great looking hat!
Thanks all. I had not heard of the 'Vogue'. Found the thread with Eric's hat - what a super-wide brim binding!I was just admiring Eric's on the other thread. This is another beauty, love this color and that brim look. Very nice Scott.
Mike, thanks. It's growing on me I must say. The brim curve is just right for wearing it brim up like Bob Roberts does/used to do (damn, I miss that guy).l like the ribbon treatment on this one. The odd lineage is always a good story. Very nice hat.
Roger, thanks! It is a bit more unusual than most other hats I have. I like it!That is a sharp lid. Great lines and proportions
Great looking hat. The brim curve on the first picture is awesome.Royal De Luxe Stetson Vogue - late 1940's/earl 1950's. Looks like an Open Road with a wide ribbon. I think it was meant to be worn with the brim as shown in the top photo.

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Pity really. They seem to be doing a lot of things right and I can see how you would be tempted by the listing picture. Thanks for the review. My Agnoulita arrived today.

Today's arrival is a Cavanagh rolled brim pimp hat from the 1970s or so. I took in this stray from Ebay on BIN just because it said Cavanagh. Actually very nice felt, factory crease and very light. The liner is glued in and the sweat does not have a Cavanagh logo. It probably would have the Registered Trademark (R) which is used post 1972. The chicken feather hat band does appear to be original, well stitched on there. I'll be wearing this one with
pride!
Those stripper feathers should turn some heads. View attachment 97805 View attachment 97806 View attachment 97807 View attachment 97808 View attachment 97809
