Post New Hats Here!

[deadlyhandsome]

Finally found a Stetson Open Road to fit my huge head. It's in decent shape but needs some cleaning before I try creasing it:

Great find, Deadly!! Can't wait to see the end result in a headshot.

But, 7-5/8 is not really huge...

True, but in an ocean of 6-7/8 and 7 it can seem that way. Congrats on the find DH!

Well... I made it 3 days back on the Lounge before I started cruising eBay. And it was a mere 1 day later that I got a new hat. (DAMN YOU HAT MONKEY!!!!)

It arrived today.

A Trimble Silver Beaver **X Quality that is in just lovely shape. I reckon late '40s or '50s vintage.

Since Saturday, I've been madly researching Trimble Hat Co.. I get a kick out of the history of the smaller firms. There is not alot of info on the internet (including on the Lounge). But I am going to include what I found in the Trimble thread within the next week or so.

What nice condition. It's very good looking, and with the box! Looking forward to more posts and information about Trimble.

I like that brim flange/curl. Did you tweeek and curl it or was it just like that from Stetson?

Nice Matt! These don't come around often. Did anyone here snag this? https://www.shopgoodwill.com/Item/44619546

Thanks. Yeah, I snapped the back up and added the curl this morning. Got it used but nobody ever messed with the brim.

Nice hat branching out into westerns?

Stetson Sovereign Twenty, one in the ocean of small sizes. Maybe I'm lucky to have a pin head.
From my limited 'knowledge' I'm guessing late '60's?

Terrific find, Rockwater! My guesstimate on the age is late fifties, early sixties... but I was wrong once before. Whatever age it might be, it's a keeper!

Once is forgivable, thanks for the info.

Thanks, the location stamp was a dealmaker for me, seems to sprinkle some cred on the package.
