At least you rescued it from the "Great Unwashed" out there in Ebay Land. Through the classifieds it will get a proper home with a hat crazy here on the lounge. It probably would be big for me too, otherwise, I would be all over it.

Alright, Bob! Nice score, Sir!Pair of Dobbs.
While both are former Springfield menswear stores, the box doesn't match the hat.
Wow, I'm impressed! Superb hats three! Some variety

Two great snags Bob. I especially like the sweat on that Milan, nice weave too. The felt has the 60s look as a couple of mine. I was able to date one in this era based on the sweat logo.Pair of Dobbs.

Fan-tastic! I love that navy Gannon, Red!
I think this hat will be a go to for formal events as well as daily wear in blues and browns.
That bow is super.
That is a damn fine hat! Please post a photo or two in the Hat Creases thread once you and the hat have agreed on the proper crease.
Isn't that a heartbreaker? I wish I could find a hat as nice as my wife's Cavanagh!Found this absolutely killer Dobbs today. Unfortunately it's a couple sizes too small for me. I hate that. This is one of the finest felts I've ever laid my hands on, and that liner! I couldn't pass that up.

Another nice find.....though a litte on the small side..;-)Ottmar Reich (Lindenberg), 58cm, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 1/2 inches, probably late 1950s early 1960s. I am not really sure what to make of this one because it has the feel of an older hat. The felt is really fantastic and easily dry creases. It's very well made with high quality components. The paper label is hand written which is strange and liner is glued in (could have been altered?). The Ottmar Reich Soft Felts I have come across are of a later time period so nothing to compare it to. Ottmar Reich was best known for Straw Boater Hats but started making Soft Felt hats in the late 1920s.
Nice, nice hat Red.....love that bow!!
