Sweet! That is a nice one, any indications under the sweat as to age?

My knowledge of Knox is a little lacking, Red. From the style and proportions I would say late 1940's to mid 1950's. It also has a clear tip liner that isn't plastic ...it's more of a cellophane -like material that is different than the plastic I have seen in late fifties hats.

This Akubra Kiandra is my latest find. Purchased last fall at The Mad Hatter in Savannah, GA. With the recent cold temps had to hang up the straw and dig the fur felt back out. Love this hat and love the shop on River Street. Extremely comfortable and a perfect fit at a 59cm aka 7 3/8.

Mike at NW Hats put together a wonderful Panama from the bodies he gets from weavers in Ecuador. Super light weight, a cool edge weave and a ventilated sweat. Picked a rust colored pug for a while, goes well with the natural color. Very happy with the outcome.
