It's still hot over here, but I wanted to take blue monkey creation #2 out for a spin! The felt is Czech rabbit by way of ManHatCo in NY; the leather and lining is from lounger @bond .

My personal critique -- I need to block these with higher, straighter crowns -- I find that my current block doesn't provide enough slack to get really creative with the crease sculpting. Still - I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

I think that's a great effort for a beginner! Nice felt! What's the color and please show us the bow treatment on the left side.

Yeah, regular navy - hah, sorry I edited my last response cuz I realized I didn't answer your question! Raymond at ManHatCo carries two shades of men's blue -- regular navy and midnight navy. The midnight looks almost black unless you are standing under a bright light, so I went with the regular navy -- it looks a bit brighter in the solo photos than it does in person, but you can definitely tell it's blue.
