sun, rain, heat... what an unusual February we are having. I finally settled on this Mallory. Tall, but not too tall, Jones.

At one of the schools where I teach, today is Fashion Friday. So I decided to dress to the nines. The Fedora is a 1941 Borsalino, the suit is a Magnoli custom 1930's era, italian wingtip short boots, gold and ruby tie pin, and even Boker pocket knife from the mid forties.

These photos are made early in the morning going to the office.
Today traditional, special food for the Friday of the dumplings, not specified as not to offend the sensibilities of animal lovers, then parade of floats with the popular masks.
Yesterday was the Thursday before Lent, today the feast of St. Zeno district, patron of the town

For the morning walk wearing a French hat vintage as wine, Italian, drink today

It is a Thibet made for the Meer hats shop in Stasbourg

I believe this is one of the rare hats I possess that can come from before the Second World War

It is made of mixed felt, wool and fur in a deep blue. Without lining

Its dimensions are generous and very comfortable

I thank you for your compliment and comments on homburg Tonak, worn yesterday.
For the parade I will will wear a Borsalino more small proportions
The day was very gray and my hope, like that of all the people of Verona, is that the rain remains in the sky.

I love this old beater Borsalino
one of the best grab and go no fuss pieces I own.
Tissue thin... light was a feather... comfortable as an old broken in shoe .
Jim coined it the Borsa Lawn o because over the summer it joined me on lawn duty

Thanks Matt! I remember enjoying the research into the store, which was well documented in old trade references. It moved up and down Main St. several times during the mid 1800s so the address imprinted in the crown was a help in dating.
