They would hate us if we visited their shop...well maybe not hate, but they would get tired of providing us with room and board...we would never leave....Also stopped here... VERY helpful and friendly sales people and affordable prices...Got a nice Stetson rollable. Note that is was REALLY hot in NY therefore the very casual wear.

Another view of the charcoal VS.
Great looking Sky-piece.....So you hit the oldest hat store in the World....You'll have to get up of more than just one pic....,How 'bout a review of the whole experience? I was trying to reboot an old Lock & Co. Thread a while back...Your comments would be greatly appreciated over there: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/lock-co.7110/page-4Guess where I just got a new hat.

Apparently after it's birthing in PA it has spent it's whole life here in town as it was originally sold by a local store that was in business by at least 1906 and was purchased today by me at a local vintage shop about 4 blocks away from that store.

I need a better interior shot and one of the ventilation.
More to come.

Today's finds aren't from the Goodwill. They are from a local vintage store that deals in everything from clothing to furniture to old building parts. The Goodwill store here never has any decent hats. I keep going back, though...
If an employee has a hat "inclination," sometimes the good stuff never hits the sales floor. Things can get bought up by employees pretty fast. A girlfriend's mom from HS worked at a similar place and always came home with beaded purses from the 1940's, etc., as well as nice paintings, knick knacks and furniture. Their home was completely filled with antiques.
