My red face is the consequence of cold air

French hat, marked J & B probably made in the 30s

It is made of mixed felt dense of wool and fur

Unlined and with a sweatband of excellent skin

I am glad that in this January, the parade of hats is always more interesting

The brim is 5 cm (2 inches) and was very common in EU hats in those days.
You see the difference in the fat crown of that era and the more low crown and increase of the brim later (in EU hats)
You live in a country (Austria) where there was an excellent production of dress hats and in the catalog of the heyday you will find many elegant hats with no so wide brim.
