At last I have a proper band for my boater, bought so long ago (#70278). My local town tailors sourced it from Olneys and stitched it on FOC.

Yes Greg, it is lined and made in excellent woll felt as most (98% ) of Alps hats.
It has a good finishing, not so elegant like the Italian or French hats but more sturdy.
I presume it came as level entry in a EU market when some hatters, here West EU, contract out their production to this, full of knoledge and tradition, factory heritage of well famed Huckel.
MayserWagener is the historian of this very fascinating story
I wonder why no one try actual Tonak production. I saw two hats and they are really well made.

I would like to share that in todays 45'F temps my vtg. Stetson (twenty-sovereign) Open Road and VS Whippet inspired (moss colored felt) were worn in pride.
