I came across these glasses :

they are or appear to be brass frames but have modern black plastic arm ends.

My Question is, are they or do they look to be (obviously they're not originals) about 1920's -1930's era-ish ?
Just the look of, is my curiosity.

I am unsure due to the size (circumference) of the lenses.

Educate me, Please....

I wear those a lot. they really haven't changed much since the 20s 30s but people now associate them with John Lennon, He's one of the more popular celebrity's to wear them.

If there is one thing that is certain, it's that they have been for something like the past 30+ yrs Lennon glasses.
but even he was most likely inspired (you'd think) by them.

As happens, I did come across somethin' like 'em on eBay in the past hour

That is interesting. I had wondered why he chose that style.

Now,I certainly am not choosing them on account of him having "repopularized" them.

Unfortunately I think there's a contradiction here. If a jacket fits, there's to me little need for tailoring. A-2s are hard to do much with, you can make the sleeves shorter, but taking the jacket in, I don't know. You'll get the hot water treatment suggestions, I'd just say get detailed instructions from Butte or likes. They know that part, or even if it is doable to begin with.
