XXXXX OPEN ROAD ............

I just WON this on ebay. It is in my PUMPKIN HEAD size and appears mint.
Recently, I have lost on several Open Roads and decided I would OWN this one if it hair lipped me.
I am thinking late 60's to early 70's and if anyone has a better guess let me know.

It is hard to tell. That box was used in the 50's, the liner is the same as a Temple that I have from the late 70's, the JBS---------O branding iron was a symbol that was used in the late 80's until the early 90's mostly on Western hats. The color of the sweat would indicate no earlier than the 60's. "The Fincher Family purchased the store in 1967" and they are still going strong. Just some random thoughts.

Nice hat. I think that the diamond pattern liner is late 60s, when Stevens had the Stetson name. Unless someone posts before I do, this makes three Ktown folks at a time. I work in downtown Ktown. Maybe one of the experts will correct us, but I think you are correct about time frame.

This was higher than I want to go, but I was prepaired to go retail.
It's just tooooo Hard to find 7 5/8 LO in older hats.
