@Guppy, thank you very much and that first one might go cheap but I can't deal with these guys as they won't declare the package at a lower price for the shipping and import taxes on this will kill me. It's 45% of the price of the item extra where I am. 40 would definitely fit me, according to these numbers.

I don't think so. I just checked and I bought it off eBay from a guy named Michael Sweeney. It still stands up on it's own and I've had it for 2.5 years.

Yeah, you're not really helping me here at all as now I want it even more. There are probably three jackets I still to this day deeply regret missing out on and this railroad coat is one of them. The second one is that Vanson HH trucker and the third I can't recall at the moment. Anyway, Ton was selling one for peanuts and I was super broke at the time but... Should've just gotten it. So now I can't stop thinking about it.
I wish RMC would restock on it...

It’s unlined. Still quite warm though. Fits really trim so it’s like wearing a lead coat. I wore mine only a few times on very cold days with just a button down underneath. Wind did not penetrate the wool. Had it been a 44” I’d still have it. The 42” was just too tight.

Yeah I think I sold mine in 2016? I can’t recall exactly. Bought it from a guy in Canada off Etsy.

It’s unlined. Still quite warm though. Fits really trim so it’s like wearing a lead coat. I wore mine only a few times on very cold days with just a button down underneath. Wind did not penetrate the wool. Had it been a 44” I’d still have it. The 42” was just too tight.

I agree with Ton312. It reminds me of a Filson Mackinaw on steroids. Just super thick unlined wool. It's plenty warm, but you need something substantial underneath if you wear it when it's seriously cold. In that type of cold, I'm usually wearing a sweater or sweatshirt under it and am plenty warm. I find it warmer that my B-6, but nothing like my N-3B parka. I would put in the same league as my vintage USN peacoat.

It is a stylish piece and gets alot of compliments. Seems to be pretty rare too. I will say that I find the hand pockets way too high and it's a bit awkward, but some of that is because the sleeves are still quite stiff.

I was hoping this was the wool RMC would deliver on their cross zip. Not even close. Not even the same universe.

@ton312 , @Grayland , thank you for the info. Surprised to hear it's warmer than a shearling jacket! Damn, why didn't I get one when I had the chance... Stylish it is, alright. I'm not even a big fan of these things but this one's just perfect.
