Well, we got a foot of snow today and I spent the day cleaning off my 'snow gauges'. I took some pics of the winter wonderland as it were. If anybody else did, please add them!

Chicago received a light dusting, but the temp is dropping.
(I'm staying home with a cold, a few books, chicken soup and whisky) :D

So freaky cold today. The little one tap dances within a minute of his paws hitting the ground. The big one rolls around in it like it's cocaine.

Sub-zero temperatures are a little harsh for me. Without proper clothes anyway. But I'd sure love to see some snow. I'm just too far south for that. :cool2:

Thanks for sharing the white winter pictures.

With me, when it comes to sub-zero temps, I quit caring about what i wear, as long as I am warm. Last January, when the daily HIGH temp was 15 below, I wore my leather Nowak Indy jacket, dark blue wool pants, a Mad Bomber fur hat with black leather, & i think green gloves & scarf with brown shoes.

Yes -3 degrees and a -18 windchill makes this a killer day. I know there's someone further north than me who has got us beat. I don't mind the snow so much as the cold. It does look beautiful out there! Texas sounds mighty fine right now.

Went to bed last night in Ames and woke up in Tupelo. Two...pelow...hyuk hyuk HYUK HYUK lol

Nobutsrslyfoax, it's so cold the mice are hunchbacked, the squirrels got sciatica, and the rabbits are...well, they're cuddling up even more than usual. [bad] Baaad wabbits.

Really tho, it's about 0°F, 12" with drifts to 6' in places, and they brought in farmers to plow the side streets, which hopefully will not mean that come summer, we can't drive for all the beans and corn.

Nice thing, it's brilliantly sunny in the way only a snowy day can be.

We got hit with a blizzard on Tuesday night. Hardly anyone could make it to work yesterday (including me) and the drifts were four feet high and higher in some spots. I'm not sure how much snow we got, but probably a foot at least.

The kids have been out of school for three days now -and we live in a city (Lincoln, NE)! Not that my daughter is complaining...

I live in Nebraska too (central, in Kearney) and I work at the university which closed both Tues. AND Wed. Unbelievable, as snow usually has to be over your head before it closes. Not that I'm complaining about getting two snow days, hehehehe!

Iowa State closed Wednesday. Uusually, Iowa State closes only in the event of giant radioactive ant attack or the equivalent. (Did I ever tell you about the time in 1954 when...lol)

Of course we were in session again today (but lucky me, I didn't have to go).
