Whirlpool Fabric Freshener: Cleaning It

If you have a Whirlpool Fabric Freshener, you have to clean it about every six months with vinegar. But it stinks up the house! The first time I did this, the smell of the vinegar made my eyes water.

My suggestion: take it outside, plug it in, pour the vinegar in the cup, zip it closed, and turn it on. Then leave it outside to clean your next two sets of garments. The vinegar smell will be gone by then.

Are you sure it's not a coffee maker? We have to clean those out with vinegar too!

It can't be a coffee maker. I don't drink coffee.

BTW, it helps to clean out your iron with vinegar every now and then, too. (But since I've had the fabric freshener, I think I've only gotten out my iron once. Yea!)
